Sadness
Sadness seeped through the keyhole like sand,
Slipped round the edges of the door,
A grey dull cloud of dust,
Exhaled into the corners,
Messing up the room with its black gloom.
Like a ghost it inhabits your body,
Freezes your friendships,
Holds back your hand from giving presents,
And leaves you rigid in your meanness.
When sadness glides into the room,
One boy stands firm,
The happiness shines from his body
Like a wonderful rainbow,
Fighting back the dark cloud with his many-coloured sadness extinguisher.
And the colour fills the room,
While the sadness drains away....
